Donor Recognition

Here are some ways in which the Hindu University of America will recognize and honor its donors, depending on the scale of contribution. Please do note that the Advancement Office will work with the Donors to customize the ways in which we will recognize the Donor’s contribution.

Hindu University of America’s giving societies recognize their donor’s commitment by honoring them in various ways and by providing them a way to connect with like-minded supporters. We are currently envisioning the following giving societies.

  • President’s Circle: Donors who give more than $10,000 within one calendar year, or more than $100,000 in their lifetime, are celebrated as members of the President’s Circle.
  • Swami Vivekananda Legacy Circle: Donors who have generously supported the Hindu University of America through their estate plans, will, trust, or with another form of deferred gift are celebrated as members of this circle. The members of Swami Vivekananda Legacy Circle (SVLC) ensure that the spirit of Swami Vivekananda lives on in HUA’s mission to expand knowledge in the service of humanity.
  • Adi Shankara Fellowship Circle: Donors who have supported the creation of limited term or endowed Faculty positions, scholarships or fellowships for students are honored as members of The Adi Shankara Fellowship Circle (ASFC).  Members of the ASFC ensure that the pursuit of knowledge, teaching, research, and support for scholars remains at the heart of the University’s mission.

The growing list of HUA donors is part of a lively, distinguished community – one that we will actively celebrate, engage and reward. Depending on the level of donation, we will invite our Donors to attend our distinguished Online Lecture Series, and to special regional events and donor recognition galas. We will offer discounts on courses, and recognize our donors in newsletters and other publications, provide special mementos, plaques and other forms of public acknowledgment on donor walls, and campus buildings and facilities.
