Dr. Debidatta Mahapatra

Debidatta Aurobinda Mahapatra holds a doctoral degree from the McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies at the University of Massachusetts Boston. His areas of interest include conflict management and peacebuilding, South Asia, and Indian thought. He was a recipient of the Scholar of Peace Award (New Delhi, 2007) and the Kodikara Award (Colombo, 2010). He was a Charles Wallace India Fellow at the Queen’s University at Belfast in 2010. His writings and comments have been published by reputed publishers, magazines and, news agencies like Reuters. His publications include Gandhi and the World (2018), Conflict Management in Kashmir(2018), Conflict and Peace in Eurasia (2013), World Order, Multipolarism and Terrorism (2011), and Central Eurasia: Geopolitics, Compulsions, and Connections (2008). He is currently the Director of the Mahatma Gandhi Center for Nonviolence, Human Rights, and World Peace at the Hindu University of America.
